Three animal welfare awareness programmes were conducted during this fortnight at Govt. High School, Chennanur, Govt. Tribal Residential School, Mavuthampathi and tribal hamlet of Marakadu in Coimbatore district. A total of 80 students and 30 tribal people were reached. The school students made aware of what is animal welfare, freedoms of animal welfare, their responsibility to safeguard of animal wellbeing both domestic and wild, and few tips how they could care for animals. The tribal people were taught about Human Elephant Coexistence and tips to save their life from problem elephants.
