Students from some of the schools had their first lessons on man-elephant conflict under Project Kaliru, an initiative by the Coimbatore Forest Division.

The awareness programme held at Chadivayal elephant camp was attended by 250 students from various schools.

“The students had sessions on elephant behaviour and the importance of protecting elephants in the wild. The camp was held at Chadivayal elephant camp so that students could see the animal and clear their doubts.
